As the oldest of 8 children,and having been homeschooled through high school, Alisha understands the joys and woes of growing up in an unusual family. She spent her youth in a small seaside town in Connecticut, where she developed her creative and social personality by participating in every artistic opportunity presented to her.

Alisha studied Broadcast Communications at Middlesex Community College, then went on to work on a television pilot and multiple short films, commercials, and a fictional podcast series. In 2007, she moved to North Carolina where she wrote and directed the short film Hour, which screened at the Carrboro Film Festival. It was about this same time that Alisha became the newest addition to the Figure 8 Films family.
