John Rotan is an award-winning cinematographer who first began making films on super8mm film in 1980 when he was in the sixth grade. Since then John has shot six features and dozens of short films. In addition to his professional experience, he holds a BFA in Filmmaking from the North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Filmmaking (1997) and a MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute (2001). He has worked on films for Disney, Columbia Pictures, and 20th Century Fox. Prior to joining Figure 8 Films, John shot two seasons (35 episodes) of "American Chopper" for Discovery Channel. John most recently shot "Multitude of Multiples" and "Little Parents, Big Pregnancy" for Figure 8 Films, and is currently in production as Director of Photography on "Table for 12".
