is prime time for family ritual. They take the kids to a local orchard for pumpkin and apple picking, and end the day by romping through a corn maze. With eight kids, someone always seems to be unhappy, but Jon and Kate try their best to make sure this is a yearly event everyone will anticipate as they grow up.

Keeping her house clean is quite difficult for Kate since she spends most of her time tending to 8 kids. Having reached her limit, she decides it might be time to get some cleaning assistance. But as she conducts interviews with local housekeepers, four of her sextuplets are sick, and three are in the middle of potty training, making for an even more stressful day. Will Kate be able to find someone to meet her high standards for cleanliness?

When a church in California asks the Gosselins to come and speak to its congregation, Jon and Kate jump at the chance to get out of Pennsylvania. But the logistics of a cross-country trip- from drafting a will to packing bags for all eight kids- prove to be a challenge. Kate decides it was worth the ordeal when she finally sees the famous giant Sequoia trees, something she’s always wanted to do!

With 8 growing kids, it never feels like there is enough room in the Gosselin home. With the help of Kate’s brother, the Gosselins devote a Saturday to revamping their storage space: the men install extensive shelving, while Kate puts her organizational wizardry to work. But attention-hungry sextuplets make this task even more difficult than it already is!

The Gosselin sextuplets visit the Hershey Medical Center NICU to meet the nurses who took care of them in the weeks after they were born. Then the twins regain the spotlight for their sixth birthday! Jon and Kate surprise Mady and Cara with a special trip to the American Girl store in NYC.
“Shopping for 10”- Premiered May 7, 2007 on TLC
Grocery shopping for a small army is not easy when you’re on a tight budget.
However, thrifty Kate has now mastered this task, and in this episode we get to see how she does it. Then, we watch as Jon and Kate navigate through a crowded toy store at Christmas time with eight unhappy kids. Although there are several hurdles along the way, Jon and Kate step up to the occasion to ensure the kids don't miss out on the spirit of giving.
“Pancakes and Potties”- Premiered May 14, 2007 on TLC
Potty training is a challenge with just one child, so when it's time to train all three sextuplets girls, Kate is more than a little apprehensive. With the exception of a few comical slip-ups, the girls seem up for this challenge- even surviving a road trip without diapers! In the midst of the potty parade, we get a glimpse of one of the Gosselins’ most anticipated weekly traditions, weekend morning pancakes. How many can Collin eat?

Jon and Kate rarely get time to themselves, but Jon's big 3-0 is looming and Kate is determined that it will be something special. She is planning a surprise dinner where she will announce his fabulous gift -a trip to the Florida Keys! Can she pull it off without Jon suspecting?
